The Dunedin Basic Medical Sciences Course Trust was set up to support surgical education and research. For many years the Trust has been running annually in Dunedin, five-week, postgraduate courses for candidates taking the FRACS Surgical Sciences Examination (SSE). The Examination is designed to test the candidate’s knowledge, understanding and application of the sciences basic to the practice of surgery.
